Engaging Mental Health Insights: Your Monthly Update

Chapter 1: Monthly Highlights
This month, I’ve successfully published at least one piece, often more, totaling five poems and sixteen fiction stories. Among these, I've introduced two series: a five-part Steampunk tale titled Heart of Steel and a seventeen-part post-apocalyptic series called Radio Silence, released weekly. The remaining stories encompass a range of genres, including post-apocalyptic, dystopian, sci-fi, and fantasy.
On January 21st, I launched a fresh publication dedicated to two of my passions—mindfulness and mental health, aptly named Mindful Mental Health! I transferred all related articles from Inkslinger Magazine to this more specialized platform.
If you share an interest in these trending topics, whether as a writer or reader, I invite you to follow Mindful Mental Health. For those interested in contributing, please check out the 'Write for Us' section, which links to the article Welcome to Mindful Mental Health, detailing the purpose of the publication, submission guidelines, and the kind of content I seek. With 19 writers and 29 followers, we aspire to become a leading voice in the mental health and mindfulness community. Your support would mean a lot!
In this new publication, I’ve produced ten articles centered around mindfulness and mental health, including:
- Bell Let’s Talk Day (supporting mental health charities in Canada)
- Want to Explore Mental Health Mindfully With Me?
- How Can We Reconnect with Ourselves & “Normal Life” after COVID-19?
- How Gratitude Can Increase Your Happiness and Wellbeing
- Flouncing — The Mystery of Drama On Social Media
- How this Buddhist Phrase Can Help Us (To live more fully)
- A Buddhist Reminder to Live Fully
- How Can We Live in a Post Pandemic World?
- 8 Ways to Become More Resilient
In addition, I’ve shared various non-fiction articles and created an index of my stories, titled My Stories and Where to Find Me, using a Code Block.
From the self-improvement and motivation perspective, my latest pieces include How to Uncover Your Authentic Self, The Best Life Advice Ever, and There Is Nothing Left To Say. I also penned a few articles on writing, including a comparison of four major platforms, featuring the newcomer Simily in The Pros and Cons of Writing Platforms, and a personal take on Medium vs. Vocal — My First 4ish Months on Both Platforms.
Furthermore, I initiated a Guest Stories Spotlight series that showcases submissions tagged with inkslingermag. You can explore all the spotlights here:

Finally, I’ve added some general non-fiction reflections, including an exploration of grief in Lessons on Life & Death, a look at synchronicity in Meant to be or just Coincidence?, and a contemplative piece on how Modern Life is Affecting Us.
That wraps up this month’s newsletter! I’d love to hear your feedback on what resonated, what didn’t, and what you’d like to see more of. Thank you for being part of this journey!
