Igniting Curiosity: A Journey Toward Purpose and Kindness
Written on
Chapter 1: Discovering My Purpose
Understanding my genuine purpose can reignite the energy, enthusiasm, and passion that I often struggle to recognize for the future. During my teenage years, I imitated the qualities of peers I admired, but I soon realized that this approach was not beneficial for me. It became evident that I needed to delve into my own thoughts and potential actions in order to connect with others who are eager to assist others in discovering their passions.
My goal is to spark the curiosity of young children, guiding them towards self-love and friendship while encouraging them to reciprocate kindness. Additionally, I aspire to motivate my adult children to embrace parenting successfully while pursuing careers that excite them, providing them with a reason to leap out of bed each morning.
Each year, I aim to bring joy to children through my picture books, teaching them the values of kindness and compassion. In the process of finding my own place in the world, I have realized that my purpose is to assist others in finding theirs.

The Takeaway by Lewis Harrison
Writing and reading the works of friends and peers brings me immense joy. Many pieces I receive are exceptional, resonating with me on a deeper level, transcending mere intellect. For me, effective writing—akin to poetry—possesses an innate richness of meter, rhythm, and emotional depth.
Many readers may not recognize the distinction between rhythm and meter, although they are closely interrelated. Meter establishes the pattern for verses, while rhythm is the actual sound that emanates from the words and phrases.
I am fortunate to have many talented friends who create remarkable works. Unfortunately, these creations often go unnoticed, shared only in private blogs or on social media platforms with limited audiences. I have decided to share some of their brilliant contributions in various esteemed publications on Medium.com, with permission from my friend Bonnie to repost her poignant poetry and stories.
